VMware View 5.1 Upgrade Process

I was working with one of my clients on a VDI project recently , the deployment was done some time back with VMware View 4.6 and vSphere 4.1.

With the release of VMware View 5.1 and vSphere 5.0 my client decided to upgrade his VDI environment from View 4.6 and vSphere 4.1 to View 5.1 and vSphere 5.0 U1. To make the process a little easier and to fullfill the requirement of change management I simply created a mindmap using Mindjet MindManager software. This gave the visibility of steps to the management and also to the people who were suppose to perform the upgrade.

It was critical for the upgrade to go smooth as this was a production environment and any missing step would have caused a disaster. I am attaching the jpeg in this post , if any body is interested in the map itself drop me a note and I will email across.

Hi Amar,
I have made this 10% bigger, more than this will cause problems to the page layout. You can always right click and save which will be clear.
