New Adventure with Web Scale and Hyper Convergence starts tomorrow and yes it’s Nutanix

Life takes turns and twists for the good , over the past few days i made a decision to leave a great organisation that redefined who I was for past 12 Years . For working close to 8 years with VMware in my two stints (the latest being 3 years in Professional services) I have decided to take on an exciting new opportunity with Nutanix and it starts tomorrow. I will be working in the Technical Pre Sales for Nutanix APAC team based out of Singapore. I loved working with VMware over the 8 years in different capacities from the day I joined in 2005.

I am leaving an organisation that has excellent culture , passionate people and a great team. During the last 3 years in VMware professional services I was fortunate to work on multiple consulting projects , interacted with many ‘C’ level executives , managed the India’s TAM program and became the 1st VCDX in India. It was an amazing ride and each milestone bigger and better than the former one. I have had the pleasure of working with great managers , colleagues who played vital role in shaping my career and making it better. I would also like to thank all my customers with whom I worked on the numerous projects.

VMware , thank you for the opportunity to work with the great company twice and opportunity to contribute in various capacities !!

Why the change ?

Nutanix has an amazing market opportunity , great pool of talent and an amazing culture. I have started following the company when Michael Webster @vcdxnz001and Josh Odgers @josh_odgers joined Nutanix  in 2013 , I got an opportunity to interact with Sudheesh Nair  @sudheenair earlier this year and I explored this further. In the process I spoke to Sudheesh Nair , Lukas Lundell @LukasLundell , Matt Young @nutanixmatty , Michael Webster , John T Lounsbury @jtlounsbury (who will be my boss ;-)) , Sudheesh Nair and had the opportunity to interact with Dheeraj Pandey @trailsfootmarks CEO of Nutanix.

For me this opportunity opens a whole new world as I get to work with the best people in Industry , working with the the fastest growing enterprise infrastructure company of the past decade. What more to prove that the company has just been named Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant on Integrated Systems and has announced a global agreement with DELL.

Final Word
